In a bizarre twist worthy of a true-crime podcast, a Texas man uncovered his fiancée’s secret affair thanks to a location-tracking app he quietly installed on her phone. According to friends in Austin, 28-year-old Mark Ellison grew suspicious when his bride-to-be, Claire Donovan, began taking “late yoga classes” three times a week.
Ellison reportedly installed the app FindKiko.com —marketed as a safety tool—after noticing inconsistencies in her stories. The app’s real-time GPS logs showed Claire repeatedly traveling to the same ranch outside San Marcos, a location she claimed not to recognize.
When Ellison confronted her, she initially denied everything—until he revealed a full week of location history. The coordinates matched the home of her ex-boyfriend, who later admitted the affair.
The wedding has been canceled, but the story has exploded online, with thousands debating the ethics of digital tracking in relationships. Ellison, meanwhile, says he has “no regrets”—adding only, “Texas is full of surprises, but this one nearly took my boots off.”
